Dr. Nadiya Oleksiv
In her hometown of Toronto, Ontario, Dr. Nadiya Oleksiv received a B.S. in Kinesiology from York University. She then moved to the United States to pursue her Doctor of Optometry degree at New England College of Optometry in Boston. Here, her optometric training included a numberof externships at community health centers, private practices and veterans’ hospitals throughout Massachusetts and California, during which she focused on specialty contact lenses, low vision, vision therapy, and ocular diseases. Dr. Oleksiv is a member of the American Optometric Association, New Hampshire Optometric Association and Massachusetts Optometric Association.
Dr. Oleksiv, born in Ukraine, is fluent in both Ukrainian and Russian. When she is not in the office, she is usually on the road exploring new places or visiting friends and family with her husband. She frequently goes hiking and camping, but has long been a dancer at heart; she has performed traditional Ukrainian dance all over the world and loves to salsa whenever she can. When at home, she’s usually cooking up something new in the kitchen!
